2..Describe the changing social situation between Jim and Ántonia as she becomes a “hired girl” in town.
The way that Jim and Antonia’s social relationship is changing is because Antonia feels like she is much more superior than Jim is because she is taking the role of the man in the family so she basically talks to him like he is much more older or mature than him. And the way that he replies back to her by trying to show that he is superior by killing the snake so its more like him trying to fit in to a group. Thats what I think is the change in the social situation between Jim and Antonia.
